Greetings!
Founded in 1890, Civic Morning Musicals serves the community by providing non-commercial music in live performance to Central New York audiences. We also support musical youth, who hold the future of classical music in their hands.
The Wednesday Recital Series hosts up to 30 concerts per year, free and open to the public, at the Everson Museum, Hosmer Auditorium. Concerts begin at 12:30PM and are 45 minutes in length.
The Live! At The Everson concert series, usually on Sunday afternoons, features professional musicians closely prominent to Central New York audiences.
We make recordings of our finest concerts available to WCNY-FM for broadcast.
We hold a regional Vocal Competition in November.
We hold an annual Youth Concerto Competition, offering winners a chance to play with orchestra as concerto soloists. Plans for a 2012 competition are now underway.
Junior Pro-Art provides a supportive, collegial atmosphere of master classes, recitals, and chamber music opportunities for students under college age..
We present annual high school, college, and community awards recognizing musical achievement, support for classical music, and service to the community.
CMM continues to focus on the future, endeavoring to build new audiences for classical music by featuring local musicians, encouraging young musicians, and supporting the creation and performance of music of our time.
