LIVE! AT THE EVERSON
This Sunday afternoon series (all concerts begin at 2:00 p.m.), held in the Everson Museum’s Hosmer Auditorium, features professional level artists who have strong ties to the Central New York area. Live! At the Everson will stage seven concerts in the 2011-2012 season.
Tickets are $15 at the door, and students are free. Tickets to Live! Concerts are made available to all CMM members current in their contributions, based on their individual level of support at the time of application.

September 25, 2011: “In Celebration of Franz Liszt”. Sharon I-Chun Cheng, soprano; Michael Fennelly, piano. Liszt Competition prize-winning soprano and brilliant pianist in all-Liszt program. Poetic settings of Heine and Goethe, Piano Sonata in B minor.
October 30, 2011: “ Forty Fingers—Two Pianos”. Amy Heyman, Margaret Reitz, Tina Toglia, Ida Trebica, piano. 4-, 6-, and 8-hand music including Milhaud, Piazolla Tango for Two Pianos, others.
November 20, 2011: “The Charismatic Oboe”. Anna Petersen Stearns, oboe; Wendy Richman, viola; Cara Johnson, piano. Brilliant oboist and friends in music by Reicha, Loeffler, Vivaldi, Paculli, and Barber.
January 22, 2012: Peter Rovit, violin; Wesley Baldwin, cello. Entertaining, beautiful contemporary duos by Mellits, Scherzinger, Shulman, Augusta Reed Thomas, Bolcom.
March 04, 2012: “A Wrinkle in Time With Rothko”. Lauren Dunseath, cello; Marc Giosi, piano. Beethoven Cello Sonata , Op. 69, De Falla, Aleksandra Vrebalov, and world premiere by Syracusan David Byrne.
May 06, 2012: Mazhukhova and Spradling play Rachmaninov: Treasures from the Early Years. Maryna Mazhukhova and John Spradling play Russian Rhapsody and Suite No. 1 for two pianos. Solo music includes Schubert “Wanderer” Fantasy, favorite Liszt works.
June 03, 2012: Young Artists Live! Onondaga County Music Educators Association Competition winners join other CNY competition winners. Varied program of prize-winning performances; a joyful celebration of outstanding representatives of our musical future.
