Welcome to Civic Morning Musicals Wednesday Recital Series! We feature the local classical musicians you know and love.
Singers from the Setnor School of Music, along with pianist Dan Sato, perform art songs written in the 21st Century. The program features music of living composers Jake Heggie, Maria Thompson-Corley, Gilda Lyons, Ricky Ian Gordon, Ben Moore, Scott Grendel, and Evan Mack, as well as that by past composers Parisotti, Aleotti, Colbran, Reichardt, Strozzi, and Malibran. The singers Lindsey Bartlett, Lillian Goetzman, Madison Karten, Lindsay Kasmer, Giovanna Maropa, Micah Patt, Emma Pitts, McKenzie Rybka, Tara Sandlin, Julianne Stein, Mary Tehan, and Yiyi Zhang are students enrolled in the Advanced Vocal Literature class, taught by Professor Julia Ebner.
CMM (Civic Morning Musicals) exists to support classically trained musicians and their audiences throughout the Central New York region. It is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, which produces more than 30 concerts a year and sponsors activities for young musicians.
