Eileen Allen, MLS, has played the clarinet since elementary school, recently becoming more active in performing as a soloist and with community bands. She currently studies with John Friedrichs. She also plays recorders. Eileen is a performing member of the B Sharp Musical Club of Utica, and has performed at the Montreal Baroque Festival, for Schola Cantorum of Syracuse, with the Manhattan Recorder Orchestra, for Civic Morning Musicals, for the St. Lawrence University Bach Festival, and in local churches and performance venues. Eileen has had a varied work life: Elementary School Music Teacher, Academic Librarian, Information Science Researcher, and Grants Administrator, and currently freelances as an Indexer and Editor.

Tina Toglia, DMA, is a Lecturer in Piano at Hamilton College, and teaches Intro to Music Research at Syracuse University. She has taught music theory and music history at SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Utica University, and Stony Brook University. Toglia co- founded the Young Artist Institute at Hamilton College with long-time collaborator, soprano Lauralyn Kolb—a lieder and art song experience for high school students. Together they recorded Just-Spring: Art Songs of John Duke, published by New World Records as part of its Recorded Anthology of American Music. Toglia is an active soloist and chamber musician and performs frequently throughout the U.S. Her piano duo collaboration with pianist Ida Tili- Trebicka of Syracuse University brings to the fore works by women composers. Toglia is a frequent adjudicator for MTNA, CNYAMT, and National Federation. She was a fellow at the Tanglewood Institute and at the Yale Summer School of Music and Art, and a finalist in the J.S. Bach International Piano Competition. She also earned a Masters in Library Science from Syracuse University and taught in public schools for ten years. Toglia maintains an active private studio in Utica. N.Y. She loves jazz and popular music and performs locally with her improv trio, Little Sunflower.
